Fall Court of Honor A Special Evening
We had a great Court of Honor last night even if it did go a bit long due to some very well frozen hamburgers! The side dishes and desserts were yummy and the company pleasant. We hope everyone enjoyed having it outside for a change. We will do a thorns and roses with the boys to see what they liked and disliked on Monday.
Posted are a couple videos. The first one is of the Mic-O-Say Tribesman performance of the Warrior's Dance. Mic-O-Say is the honor camping society of Camp Geiger in St. Joseph, MO, where a group from the troop has camped the last couple of summers. As mentioned, Tribesmen are required to learn Native American dance and create their own Native American costume as part of their advancement in the tribe - both are works in progress. This was their first "appearance" outside of camp. Mrs. Jandebeur and Mrs. Love stepped in to fill out the ranks a little while the local tribe grows. The plan is to incorporate our OA members also and create a Troop dance team.

The second video is the photo story that Historian Joe Love put together depicting scenes from the last six months of troop outings and events. The selected music is that which the boys who went to Camp Geiger will remember as "evacuation night sing along music." Enjoy!
